There was certainly a beautiful life

for him, for her, and for everyone

It's been a long time since everyone has gone

It's been a long time

I work for something enigmatic

like a huge white box with no door

Checking the gauge on the wall,

reading at the normal, there's no trouble

This is what I do everyday;

wake up, wash my face, drip a cup of coffee

wash my clothes, and bloom the floor

Feed the birds, check the gauge, water the flowers, play guitar,

and eat two times a day

That's the way my day

The grown-ups never tells me the truth, but only say

“do your thing every day”

Looked up papers or radio, couldn't find any sort of a clue

I don't think I'll snoop the truth,

bus still hearing something from a distance

“Tell us the truth,

anyone and everyone.

Where's our beautiful life?

Don't take them away.

Our beautiful life.”
